10.8.14:1st West Riding Brigade (1/5th, 1/6th, 1/7th and 1/8th West Yorks) of 1st West Riding (Territorial) Division concentrated at Selby
Aug-Apr:Trained at Strensall and York, followed by a period of duty on Lincolnshire coast.
14.4.15:Entrained for Boulogne via Folkestone, arriving late that night.

25.9.16:1/5th in Brigade Reserve, Martinsart Wood. 146th Brigade left in the line, under GOC 18th Division, while remainder of 49th Division relieved.
26.9.16:Thiepval fell to 54th Brigade (18th Division) and, two days later, 1/5th WY attacked the Schwaben redoubt.
